Situated atop a high bluff in Dubuque, Iowa, overlooking the majestic Mississippi River and surrounded by 54 rolling acres, this handsomely restored 1908 Craftsman Style Mission Mansion Bed & Breakfast (built by Lawrence Buck), with its cozy fireplaces and screened verandas, offers guests a relaxing atmosphere. The entire mansion has been handsomely restored while preserving its original character. Four Mounds Inn B&B is listed on the National Historic Registry.
Native prairie, timbered bluffs and hiking trails surround the property. The inn can accommodate up to fourteen people and offers four fireplaces and seven bedrooms, each with their very own charm. Whole house rental is available. A delicious full breakfast is served.
A private cabin with a view of the river, includes a kitchen, dining room and living room warmed by a large brick fireplace, is ideal for a couple or a family of four.
The mansion serves as a perfect setting for conferences of 24 or fewer. Larger groups are welcome by special arrangements. Audiovisual equipment is available. We will be happy to arrange catering for breakfast, lunch or dinner meetings.
